Hello from Baku
Hello, my name is WANG Zibo. I am eight years old. Three years ago, I moved to an unfamiliar country called Azerbaijan with my parents. We live in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
Baku is a beautiful city, located on the west shore of the Caspian Sea. When we walk on the road along the beach, we can see lots of seagulls looking for fishes.
I’m studying in a British school in Baku. Class 3KB, Grade Two. In the school we learn English, math, science, history, music, art, and sports. My favorite lesson is science because there are lots of interesting things to learn, like light, air, shadow, especially how to grow plants. I planted a gourd 3 weeks ago and now it is about 30cm tall.
My classroom is not as big as that in China, because there are just 13 students in my class. They are from England, Turkey, Germany, Russia, Azerbaijan and China. My teacher, Kevin, is from Northern Ireland. He teaches us four classes, science, English, math and history. He is strict to those who are naughty, and nice to those who work hard.
My school starts at 8:30 in the morning, and finishes at 3 in the afternoon. At noon, I have my lunch at the school cafeteria. I usually sit with my friend David for lunch. We talk about tricks, burglars and computer games. I like my school and my friends very much.
